We as the global human citizens of the world need a break! But I fear that a global breather for our very tired emotions is not going to be coming soon.

For every food technologist out there, XANTHAN (pronounced zan-than) GUM (aka E415) is a staple in their product development pantry.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love sh*t.

Apart from eating the occasional plastic sticker on apples, & chewing plasticine as a toddler (salty waxy chewing gum that mum had to bribe me with smoked mussels to spit out), I can't say plastic has ever been a big part in my diet. Nor is it promoted by dietary guidelines anywhere in the world.

It's more than eating a range of different proteins (e.g. kangaroo, fish, tofu & chicken), rainbow veggie plates (e.g red tomato, orange carrot, green beans, & yellow corn), & different cultural cuisines (e.g. British porridge for breakfast, Vietnamese Bahn Mi lunch, & Mexican tacos for dinner).

Happy Heart Health Week everybody. Since prevention is better than cure, I'm going to share a few tips to preventative diet tips this week.
