Nutrition Scientific Formulations Advice
Make informed decisions with scientific advice you can rely on
The world of food and nutrition can be tricky to navigate. Whether you're shaping regulations or creating products, it can be tough to make sense of it without a solid understanding of both nutrition and food science. With changing consumer behavior, health trends, shifting views, and new research on nutrition, food technologies, human health (including the gut microbiome), it can feel overwhelming and confusing.
Dr. Anneline works with policymakers and food industry groups to provide clear, actionable food and nutrition science advice. She collaborates with you to help make informed decisions that align with your organisation’s goals.
Agnostic, transparent advice from a nutritional food scientist
Food science and nutrition often come with biases, but Dr. Anneline offers clear, science-based advice beyond popular opinion. Every product—from broccoli to steak to marshmallows—has its place in the diet. It’s about understanding each food's contribution to overall diet quality. But when it comes to health-focused food formulations, it’s not just about adding Xg of nutrient B or superfood Y. We have to take into consideration the impact of processing technologies (which can enhance or reduce nutritional value), food architecture, nutrient-nutrient interactions, and the role of the digestive tract on being able to release and absorb nutrients from foods we consume. Dr. Anneline's expertise lies in understanding how both processing and digestion affect nutrient uptake and the impact on health. The perfect skillset in designing products for health.
